We are a small family farm who chose to be organic for a couple of reasons. My wife and I wanted our grandchildren to roam freely through the blueberries and eat straight from the bush without fear of chemicals or pesticides of any kind.We also wanted to produce the highest quality, healthiest, and tastiest blueberry possible for our family and friends, as well as for you and your family to enjoy!

This is our baby, our passion, our love. We’d like to say it all started with a dream, but alas it was not so. We’re a little too piratey for such things. Instead, it went like this:
“Twenty bucks says you can’t make a bread that’s good for you AND tastes great.”
And in the fervor of a10-year-old shouting out “CHALLENGE!!”, the game was afoot.
Now after many moons, burnt fingers and loud expletives, we’re proud to present what we feel is the healthiest, finest, best tasting bread on the market today.

Greens on the Gro Farm is a small hydroponic farm located in Northern Manatee County, north of the Manatee River. We grow a variety of greens and other fruits and vegetables using the least amount of chemicals and pesticides with Omri approved methods to produce the friendliest nutrient rich food possible! We have a farm stand on our property with freshly harvested produce right out of the garden. The farm stand is openTuesdays , Thursdays and Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm, and we are supporting our local community on Saturdays at the Bradenton Downtown Farmers Market on beautiful downtown Main Street.
We grow collard greens, mustard greens, several varieties of Kale, Lettuces, Arugula, Swiss Chard, Peppers, Tomatoes, Escarole, Asian Spinaches, Spinach and a variety of other chemical and harsh pesticide free produce.
We believe that there should be more green spaces in our communities, that local food is more nutrient rich ,and suppporting local growing is better for our planet. We believe that hydroponic growing uses less of our natural resource Water. We believe that bigger is not better in agriculture and small growers in our community add diversity and are a major building block in sustainable growing, and are major contrbutors to a healthy community.

My Mother's Garden - Wiamauma, FL
We are located on our family farm in south Hillsborough County, Florida. On 90 gorgeous acres, rich in diverse natural habitats, we raise organic herbs, flowers, and produce. Our nursery operation, citrus grove, and a small market garden have been certified organic since 1992. We also raise Murray Grey/Angus grass-fed beef cattle with great-tasting, healthful meat available seasonally. Tamworth and Berkshire hogs are naturally and humanely raised on pasture and woods. In addition to wild foods such as acorns and roots that they forage, the hogs are fed a blend of corn, barley, oats and alfalfa. These heritage breeds are renown for the quality of their meat, especially bacon.
